Citizen feedback leads to felicitation of 20 cops in Telangana
Hyderabad: The feedback given by the citizens regarding the work has led to the appreciation of the top 20 cops working in Telangana. Dr. Jitender, IPS, Director General of police presented ‘Appreciation Certificates’ to the best performers from the Telangana Police Department, based on feedback from the Citizen Feedback Centre for the last month. The recognition was awarded to the top 10 police stations/SHOs, top 5 reception officers, and top 5 enquiry officers, based on feedback collected from 2,116 citizens.
The Telangana police said that the Citizen Feedback Centre, operating under the CID, has been instrumental in improving police efficiency and accountability. “A dedicated team collects feedback from citizens who have interacted with police services, using various platforms such as the Petition Management System, Verifast Passport data, e-Challan data, and FIR data, through an Automated Calling App. Citizens are contacted via outbound calls, and their feedback on the response and behavior of police officers is recorded. Based on this feedback, officers are rated and ranked, helping the police force improve its interaction with the public and enhance the police-public interface.”
QR Code feedback soon
During the event, Dr. Jitender, IPS, Director General of Police announced that new technical features, including QR code and SMS-based feedback systems shall be introduced shortly. “These systems will further improve the feedback collection process by allowing petitioners and victims to easily provide feedback. In cases where no response is received, manual feedback collection via the Calling App will continue. This initiative showcases the Telangana Police’s commitment to enhancing the quality of their services and their efforts to build a strong and positive relationship with the community.”
DGP Dr. Jitender, IPS, emphasized the importance of the Feedback Call Centre in collecting insights from citizens and victims who use various police services. He noted that the feedback system allows the police to continuously improve their services and responsiveness to the public. Additional DGP (L&O) Mahesh M.Bhagwat IPS, Srinivas, SP COE,CID , Sita Reddy DSP and others participated in the meeting.
The DGP also commended the Citizen Feedback Team, led by Srinivas, SP-COE, CID, and Sita Reddy, DSP, COE-CID, for their hard work and dedication under the supervision of DG CID Shikha Goel, IPS.
