Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Announces DSC 2024 Results

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced the results of the Telangana District Selection Committee (TG DSC) 2024 at 11 a.m. on September 30, 2024, (Monday) at the Secretariat.

The Mega DSC 2024 notification, identified as Notification No. 24/RC-1/TRT/DSC/2024, was released on February 29, 2024, and announced a total of 11,062 vacancies. The available positions include 2,629 for School Assistants, 727 for Language Pandits, 182 for Physical Education Teachers, 6,508 for Second Grade Teachers, 220 for School Assistants (Special Educators), and 796 for Second Grade Teachers (Special Educators). The DSC 2024 examination was conducted from July 18 to August 5, 2024, in two sessions each day.

During his address, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy congratulated the officials for their efforts in filling these teacher posts. He noted that the results have been released on a 1:3 basis and assured that final appointments would be completed before Dussehra. On October 9, appointment letters will be distributed at LB Stadium.

CM Revanth Reddy stated that the previous government had issued a DSC notification only once in a decade, resulting in just 7,857 teacher appointments in ten years. “Our government has prioritised education, initiating the recruitment process to make education accessible,” he said.

He highlighted the government’s commitment, stating, “We are completing the recruitment of 11,062 teachers in just 65 days, showing our dedication to education.” He also mentioned that within 30 days of taking office, they had provided 30,000 job appointment documents and conducted the DSC following the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to address unemployment.

The Chief Minister reassured that the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) has been revamped and that group 1 results will be announced soon. “We aim to fill over 60,000 jobs in the first year alone to tackle unemployment,” he added.

Revanth Reddy criticised the previous government for neglecting education and infrastructure in schools, asserting that his government is committed to investing in education. “We are establishing integrated residential schools on 20-25 acres of land in 100 constituencies,” he said, citing Madhira in Kodangal as a pilot project.

Addressing concerns about misinformation from political parties regarding school infrastructure, CM Revanth stated, “Those who governed for a decade acted irresponsibly, leading to this situation. We are moving forward to resolve these issues. Education is not an expense; it is an investment.”
