Telangana Cabinet Green signals to Mallanna Sagar water for Hyderabad, job calender, new ration cards and many more

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, made several significant decisions, including announcing the job calendar, the issuance of new ration cards along with Aarogyasri cards, utilizing the Mallanna sagar water for Hyderabad’s drinking water needs, on Thursday .
In accordance with the electoral assurance made to the unemployed, the Cabinet approved the implementation of an annual job calendar to ensure timely recruitment. This will be presented for discussion in the Assembly on Friday.
The Cabinet approved the transfer of Godavari water from Mallanna Sagar to Shamirpet Lake and from there to the twin reservoirs of Hyderabad, Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar. A total of 15 TMC of water will be transferred, with 10 TMC filling the lakes and the remainder used for Hyderabad’s drinking water needs.
The Cabinet discussed issuing ration cards along with health profiles for all state residents. A sub-committee comprising the Revenue Minister, Health Minister, and Civil Supplies Minister will be formed to finalize the policies related to this initiative.
The Cabinet discussed the appointment of MLCs, which was recently returned by the state Governor. It was decided to resend the names of two individuals for the Governor’s approval. The Cabinet resolved to recommend Kodandaram and Amir Ali Khan as MLCs to the governor again.
The Cabinet approved the allocation of 600 square yards of residential land in Hyderabad to athletes Esha Singh, Nikhat Zareen, and Mohammed Siraj. Additionally, it was decided to provide Group 1 level jobs to Nikhat Zareen and Siraj. Further the Cabinet resolved to offer the position of Municipal Commissioner to Hari Ratan, son of the late Intelligence DG Rajeev Ratan, who died in the line of duty. Similarly, a Deputy Tahsildar job will be provided to the son of the late Additional DG P. Murali, who also died while performing their duties.
