BC JAC calls for Telangana bandh on October 18

HYDERABAD: BC JAC State Secretary Jajula Lingam Goud has appealed to Backward Class (BC) communities across Telangana to actively participate in the state-wide bandh on October 18, called to demand rightful reservations for BCs.
Speaking at a meeting held near the Arts College on the Osmania University campus, Lingam Goud said various student and people’s organisations have extended solidarity with the bandh call. He urged all educational institutions, business establishments and citizens to cooperate to ensure its success.
‘Bandh aims to assert BC unity’
Lingam Goud said the bandh is not for any party’s political gain but to highlight the injustice faced by BCs. He said that “we meant this bandh to showcase our unity and consciousness”. We will not stop our struggle until we achieve justice for BCs.
He alleged that upper-caste groups were using the courts to obstruct BC reservations. “They are blocking our constitutional rights at every step,” he remarked, questioning the fairness of such actions.
‘All-party support sought’
Lingam Goud urged all political parties to voluntarily support the bandh and called on BCs from the village to the state level to organise through JACs to make the protest historic. “It’s time for BCs to rise against those conspiring to reduce our reservations and insult our self-respect,” he said.
Several BC leaders, including Bollepalli Swami Goud, N M Srikanth Yadav, Boora Srinivas, Nama Saidulu, Jamalapuram Ramakrishna, Kampati Venkat Goud, Bandi Naresh, Raju Yadav, Ashwanth, Anjaneyulu Mudiraj, Prajapati Satyanarayana and Boora Ravikumar Goud, were present.
