Telangana Film Corporation launches Bathukamma film contest

HYDERABAD: Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) will organise the Bathukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge to encourage young creators across the state.
The contest will feature short films and video songs highlighting people’s governance, Telangana festivals, history, culture and art forms. Entries can also focus on development and welfare schemes implemented under Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, such as free bus travel for women (Mahalakshmi), Gruhajyothi, Indiramma housing, Young India Sports University and Young India Residential Schools.
Short films should not exceed three minutes and songs should be within five minutes.

Eligibility and entry rules
Participants must be under 40 years of age.
Entries should be in 4K resolution.
Films and songs must strictly follow the announced themes.
Submissions must not have been screened elsewhere earlier.
Videos should be made exclusively for the Bathukamma Young Filmmakers Challenge.
Prizes
The winners will receive:
First prize – ₹3 lakh
Second prize – ₹2 lakh
Third prize – ₹1 lakh
Five consolation prizes – ₹20,000 each
All winners will also be awarded certificates of appreciation and mementoes.
A jury of experts will review the entries and select winners across categories.

“Telangana youth are full of creativity. We want to give them a platform to showcase their vision on Telangana’s culture and progress,” said TFDC chairman Dil Raju.
