Three officials caught by Telangana ACB in two separate bribe traps

Telangana : The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught three officials in two separate trap cases for allegedly demanding and accepting bribes from complainants in Hanmakonda and Mancherial districts.
In the first case, ACB officials apprehended Arramada Venkat Reddy, Additional Collector (Revenue) and in-charge District Educational Officer (DEO), Mohd Ghousuddin, Senior Assistant (High School Section), and Kanneboina Manoj, Junior Assistant (Primary School Section) of the DEO office, Hanmakonda.
DEO staff caught while taking ₹60,000 bribe
According to ACB, the trio allegedly demanded and accepted ₹60,000 from a school owner to process the file for renewal of recognition for the primary and high school sections of Creative Model School. Officials said the bribe amount was recovered from their possession.
ACB stated that the complainant’s identity would remain confidential.
Panchayat secretary trapped in Mancherial
In the second case, ACB trapped Gorlapalli Raj Kumar, Panchayat Secretary of Kannepalli village and mandal in Mancherial district, for allegedly demanding and accepting ₹5,000 from a complainant. The bribe was allegedly sought for taking photographs of a house being constructed under the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme, uploading stage-wise progress to the housing app, and facilitating sanction of ₹1,40,000.
Officials said the bribe amount was seized during the trap and added that the victim’s details would remain protected.
ACB urges public to report bribe demands
The Telangana ACB appealed to citizens to report any bribe demands by public servants through its toll-free number 1064, WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook page (Telangana ACB), or its website (acb.telangana.gov.in).
