ACB arrests Civil Supplies official for Rs 50,000 bribe in Wanaparthy

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana caught an assistant manager, who was also the district in-charge at Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, Wanaparthy, taking a bribe on Friday.
According to the ACB, on 08.01.2026, Kumba Jagan Mohan, Assistant Manager (Accounts) and in charge District Manager at Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, Wanaparthy, was caught by the ACB Mahabubnagar Range unit when he demanded and accepted Rs. 50,000 through his private driver, Lavudya Laxman Naik, from the complainant to allot government CMR paddy to the complainant’s new raw rice mill, M/s. Samba Shiva Agro Industries, Miraspally, Kothakota, Wanaparthy District.
“The bribe amount was recovered from the right-side front car door bottle holder of the Maruti Swift Dzire car bearing No. TS 08 FC 1278, hired by Mohan, at the instance of Mohan and Naik. The Mohan performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage,” said ACB in a statement.
Therefore, Mohan and Naik have been arrested and are being produced before the Hon’ble Ist Addl. Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases Court, Nampally, Hyderabad. Further, the case is under investigation.
