HYDERABAD: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday caught S. Shivanand, a record assistant in the office of the Deputy Inspector of Schools at Government High School, Ameerpet Mandal, allegedly while accepting a ₹20,000 bribe.

According to the ACB, Shivanand allegedly demanded the money for processing and submitting the pension benefits file and retirement settlement papers of the complainant’s mother.

The agency said its officials caught the accused red-handed during a trap operation after he allegedly accepted the bribe amount from the complainant.

Case registered, investigation underway

The accused was arrested and is being produced before the Special ACB Court at Nampally for further legal proceedings.
