Telangana grants 5 minute grace for Inter, SSC exams

HYDERABAD: The state government has permitted a five-minute grace period for students appearing for the Intermediate examinations from February 25 and the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations from March 14.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao directed district Collectors and Superintendents of Police to ensure that the examinations are conducted strictly and without malpractice.
CCTV, QR-coded papers, police bandobust at centres
According to official figures, 4.89 lakh first-year Intermediate students and 4.53 lakh second-year students will take the exams. The SSC examinations will see 5.28 lakh candidates appearing across the state.
Authorities have been instructed to provide closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance, police bandobust, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), first-aid facilities, adequate benches and clock rooms at all examination centres.
Question papers will carry QR codes and will be opened 15 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination.
Hall tickets will be sent directly to students through WhatsApp. They can also be downloaded from the official website.
