Task Force arrests three in bike theft, shutter-lifting cases; four vehicles seized

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone, arrested three notorious offenders involved in multiple two-wheeler thefts and shutter-lifting cases across the Rachakonda Commissionerate. Police seized four motorcycles and clothes used during the offences.
Arrests made at Balnagar X Road
The arrested persons were identified as Sardar Jagjoth Singh alias Sahil, 24, a rowdy-sheeter of SR Nagar police station; Ajmera Murali Kumar, 19; and Sirsuval Tilak, 19. All three are residents of Hyderabad. The arrests were made on January 6, 2026, at Balnagar X Road following credible information, police said.
Multiple cases confessed across police stations
Police said the accused confessed to their involvement in five cases registered at Nacharam, Kushaiguda, Keesara, Alwal and Jawahar Nagar police stations. The cases include offences booked under Sections 305(b), 305(a), 331(4) and 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Vehicles and clothes recovered
The seized property includes a Royal Enfield Bullet (TS08EX7316), a Honda Dio (TS08FF7489), a Hero Passion Pro (TS08EX4263) and a TVS N-Torq scooter bearing a Telangana registration, which was used in committing the offences, along with clothes.
Police cite motive and modus operandi
According to police, Jagjoth Singh, who resides at BK Guda, befriended Murali Kumar and Tilak. The trio, addicted to alcohol and smoking, allegedly planned and executed automobile thefts and shutter-lifting break-ins to fund what police described as a lavish lifestyle.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Inspector Ch. Yadender and sub-inspector D. Ravi Raj of the West Zone Task Force, with support from their staff. The arrests were announced by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police M.D. Iqbal Siddique, Commissioner’s Task Force, Hyderabad City, West and South West Zone teams.
