Burqa-clad gang steals 10 gm gold chain from jewellery shop in Vikarabad
HYDERABAD: A six-member gang, including four women in burqas, a man and a child, allegedly stole a 10-gram gold chain from a jewellery shop in Tandur town of Vikarabad district after posing as customers.
According to police, the group entered the shop as customers and distracted the staff while one member allegedly slipped away with the gold chain. Shop employees discovered the theft only after the group left.
CCTV footage captures theft
The shop’s CCTV cameras recorded the incident. The footage has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention.
Police registered a case and launched a search to identify and trace the suspects. Investigators are analysing the CCTV footage and collecting additional evidence.

Police have not revealed the suspects’ identities or confirmed whether they were involved in similar thefts elsewhere. Investigators continue to probe the case.
