Teen’s SUV crash injures two at Manikonda, bikes damaged

Manikonda: A teenager driving his family’s SUV reportedly crashed into several bikes parked near the Golden Temple in Manikonda, severely injuring two bystanders and causing significant damage to the vehicles. The incident occurred late Monday night, drawing immediate attention and concern from the local community.

According to police reports, the driver, identified as a teenager in his mid-16s, lost control of the vehicle while speeding past the temple. As a result, the SUV veered off course and crashed into the bikes parked by the roadside.

Local residents quickly responded to the incident, rushing to help the injured individuals. The injured persons were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. According to hospital sources, their condition remains stable.

Despite the locals’ efforts to stop the teenager, he managed to flee the scene in his SUV. The vehicle was later traced back to his residence in Manikonda.

The Narsingi police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

“We are taking this matter very seriously. Speeding and reckless driving are major concerns, especially involving young and inexperienced drivers. We urge parents to ensure their children are adhering to traffic laws to prevent such incidents,” said an official from the Narsingi police.
