Supreme Court of India on Telangana Group I recruitment verdict

HYDERABAD: The Supreme Court has dismissed petitions challenging the recruitment of 563 Group I posts conducted by the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC), upholding the Telangana High Court’s earlier order.

A Bench of the Supreme Court found no merit in the petitions and declined to interfere with the High Court ruling that had cleared the recruitment process.

Court finds no merit in petitions

The petitioners had raised objections to the conduct and validity of the Group I recruitment. After hearing the arguments, the Supreme Court held that there were no valid grounds to set aside the High Court’s decision.

The Bench said the High Court had already examined the issues and passed a reasoned order.

High Court order stands confirmed

The Telangana High Court had earlier upheld the recruitment of 563 Group I posts, effectively validating the selection process carried out by TGPSC.

By endorsing that order, the Supreme Court has brought finality to the legal challenge.

Recruitment process gets final clearance

With the dismissal of the petitions, the recruitment process receives final judicial clearance. The ruling removes uncertainty over the appointments and clears the way for further administrative action.
