Hyderabad Supreme Court Directs Prabhakar Rao To Share Phone Tapping Data

HYDERABAD: In a major development in the Telangana phone-tapping case, the Supreme Court directed the main accused, Prabhakar Rao, to provide all information sought by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).

SIT can access iCloud and Apple data, says apex court

The court clarified that Rao must share data stored in the Cloud and Apple iCloud accounts. A bench led by Justice Nagarathna ordered that the login credentials — including usernames and passwords — be handed over to the SIT.

Forensic experts to be present during data retrieval, orders bench

The bench instructed that the data be accessed in the presence of forensic experts. It also said that if any attempt is found to have been made to delete or tamper with the data, it will decide on the next course of action accordingly.
