Student killed, another injured in speeding motorcycle crash on Kokapet Road
Ranga Reddy: A student died, and another was seriously injured after their motorcycle collided with a divider on the Kokapet Service Road in Ranga Reddy on December 28, 2024.
The deceased has been identified as Satwik, a student who was traveling on a motorcycle when the vehicle collided with a divider.
According to reports, the accident was caused by overspeeding, and the impact of the crash was fatal for Satwik. His companion, also a student, sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital, where his condition remains critical.
The Narsingi police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident. Authorities said that reckless driving, particularly speeding, was the primary cause of the accident.
This incident follows a similar tragic event that occurred just the day before. On the evening of December 27, 2024, two individuals were killed when their motorcycle skidded off the road and collided with a divider under the Madhapur police station limits.
The victims, identified as Raghu Babu and Akansh, residents of Borabanda, were riding a speeding Jawa bike along the 100-feet road in Ayyappa Society when the accident took place. It is suspected that the rider was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
One of the victims died at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital. The Madhapur police have also registered a case and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
In a separate incident on December 20, 2024, a 20-year-old student named Lokesh lost his life in a head-on collision with a private travel bus in Punjagutta. Lokesh, who was pursuing a B.Tech degree, was traveling with a companion on a scooter when the bus collided with them.
Lokesh died at the scene, while his companion sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Witnesses immediately alerted the police, and officers from the Punjagutta police station responded promptly. A case has been filed following a complaint from Lokesh’s family.
