Hyderabad: Class 8 student ends life at school in Uppal after teacher slapped him

Hyderabad:A class 8 student of a private school at Uppal ended his life by jumping from the school building after he was ‘rebuked’ by a teacher, the police said.
The victim, identified as Sangareddy (14) from Dwaraka Nagar in Boduppal, was studying at Sagar Grammar School at New Bharat Nagar in Uppal.
According to police, the 14-year-old boy felt humiliated after a Physical Education Teacher allegedly reprimanded him in front of other students inside the classroom. The teacher rebuked him after he had reportedly “turned the direction” of a CCTV camera on the premises.
Subsequently, the victim sought the permission of the teacher to go to the washroom. Instead of going to the restroom, he went to the fourth floor of the building and jumped, the police added.
The boy was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries, however, the doctors declared him brought dead. It is reported that the teacher had allegedly “slapped” the boy. The police said a suicide note, purportedly written by the boy, was found in his book and the victim has apologised to his mother for “ending his life”.
A case was registered on charges of abetment to suicide and investigation is on.
In a similar incident, a class 9 student ended her life by hanging from the ceiling fan in her house in Uppal on Saturday.
According to details, the 15-year-old victim K Sanjana was upset over her ill health for the past few days. She underwent the treatment but there was no improvement in her health condition.
A few days ago, a 23-year-old man in Madhapur took his own life after losing a huge amount of money in online games.
The deceased, identified as SM Aravind, a degree student at a private college, was a resident of Khanamet. He was spending money on online games and also involved in online betting, according to the police.
Despite spending a lot of money on online games and placing major bets on online betting platforms, Aravind did not earn anything in return. He even told his family about his losses and they comforted him. However, deep down he was depressed and continued to avoid meeting people.
Then again, he reportedly played online games hoping to win but lost about Rs. 50,000 again. The loss apparently shattered him and he ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan in his bedroom.
