STF team seizes 500 grams of ganja, arrests man in Balanagar
HYDERABAD: A Special Task Force (STF) team detected a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) case and arrested a 27-year-old man with 500 grams of dry ganja at Moti Nagar in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on May 11, 2026.
The accused was identified as Yella Sai Manikanta, son of Sathi Babu, a native of Tuni in Andhra Pradesh. Police said he was residing near Darpan Residency on E-Seva Road in Moti Nagar.
Acting on credible information, STF Team D apprehended the accused at around 16.50 IST on a road beside Learning Tree School on E-Seva Road.
Police seized 500 grams of dry ganja and one mobile phone from his possession.
The accused, along with the seized contraband and other material, was handed over to the Station House Officer of Balanagar police station for further investigation under the NDPS Act.
