Hyderabad: St. Francis College for Women, Begumpet, held a farewell ceremony for the outgoing batch of 2024-2025 on March 19, 2025. The event saw the presentation of 54 awards, recognizing students for their academic and co-curricular achievements.

Renowned Telugu film producer Chalasani Priyanka Dutt, known for her work in Kalki 2898 AD, and fashion and lifestyle content creator Meenakshi Pamnani graced the occasion as special guests.

In her address to the gathering, Principal Dr. Uma Joseph spoke on the theme “Glitter, Sparkle, Glam, and Sophistication,” encouraging the students to be like a candle that dispels darkness once lit, and to work hard in their pursuit of success.

Dr. Uma Joseph, Vice Principal Dr. Sr. Sherly, Correspondent Sr. Carmely Thaniath, along with Chief Editors Paviki Yadav and Vibha Shambhu, released the Yearbook 2025. The Yearbook highlights the academic and cultural accomplishments of the students, along with messages from the faculty.

Awards were presented to students for their contributions in various areas including NCC, NSS, sports, placements, cultural activities, and student organizations. The award for maximum participation in the BA program, established by Sr. Romana Fernandes and the late A. Radha, was presented to Umaimah Aijaz.

The highlight of the event was the Ms. Francis competition, where 12 contestants showcased their intelligence, creativity, and talent. The contest was judged by Chalasani Priyanka Dutt and Meenakshi Pamnani. Julisha Moraes was crowned Ms. Francis, with Pragya and Fatima securing the titles of first and second runners-up, respectively. Asma Afreen, Sania, and Tejaswi were recognized as Ms. Best Dressed, Ms. Vivacious, and Ms. Talented, respectively.

The event also featured lively performances by both staff and students, making the farewell a memorable occasion for the students to reflect on their time at St. Francis College for Women.
