Hyderabad: St. Francis College for Women, Begumpet, celebrated its Annual Day on Friday, January 31, 2025, on the college campus. The event was attended by Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Finance, Planning, and Energy, Telangana, as the Chief Guest and Prof. Kumar Molugaram, Vice Chancellor of Osmania University, as the Guest of Honour.

During the event, 111 prizes were awarded to students from the 2022-2025 UG batch and the 2023-2025 PG batch for their academic excellence. The awards included 18 gold medals, 15 founded prizes, and 78 proficiency prizes.

In his keynote address, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka praised the college as a “powerhouse of knowledge, shaping the future of over 3,000 young women.”

He acknowledged the institution’s significant role in empowering women through education, leaving a lasting impact on Telangana and the nation. He highlighted the government’s initiatives to promote women’s entrepreneurship and emphasized the importance of educating women for the betterment of society.

Vikramarka encouraged the students, stating, “You’re not just students; you are the future leaders. Titles don’t define leadership—actions do. Whatever path you choose, lift others along the way.”

Prof. Kumar Molugaram, the Guest of Honour, commended St. Francis College as one of the best autonomous colleges affiliated with Osmania University. He spoke of his 10-year association with the college and praised it as his top recommendation for admissions.

Prof. Molugaram stressed the value of skill-based education and continuous learning, urging students to develop critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. He concluded with the college’s motto, “Wisdom and Peace through Love,” reminding the students that they can achieve anything by embodying these principles.

Dr. T. Uma Joseph, the college’s principal, presented the Annual College Report for the academic year 2024-2025, highlighting the institution’s growth, achievements, and transformative experiences. She commended both faculty and students for their commitment to academic excellence, cultural enrichment, and holistic development.

Dr. Joseph expressed gratitude to the faculty and students for their contributions in shaping a dynamic and progressive learning environment, reaffirming the college’s commitment to nurturing future leaders and fostering innovation.

The event concluded with a theme dance, “Bharat Prabha,” celebrating a vision for Viksit Bharat 2047, followed by the national anthem.
