Telangana plans Hyderabad as global healing capital

HYDERABAD: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Saturday said the state government is taking planned steps to transform Hyderabad from a global pharma hub into a “healing capital”.
He was speaking at the valedictory session of ‘FUSE APAC Connect – 2026’, organised by Pharmaceutical Users Software Exchange (FUSE) at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre.
Integration of science and technology in healthcare
The minister said future healthcare will depend on the integration of clinical science, artificial intelligence and real-world evidence. He added that clinical research will witness significant changes, with technology playing a central role.
He said the government is taking forward-looking steps to build the required ecosystem in Telangana to meet emerging challenges. “True benefit to society comes only when science, data and humanity work together,” he said.
Researchers urged to collaborate with Telangana
Sridhar Babu said researchers, doctors and technology experts must come together on a single platform. He added that the government is ready to support innovation.
He invited researchers to partner with Telangana in addressing future challenges.
Experts from India and abroad deliberated on the integration of clinical research and data science at the conference.
