Hyderabad: A tragic road accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad on Friday, March 7, 2025, claimed the life of a 19-year-old man. The accident occurred near Gollapalli Kalan when the car he was traveling in collided with a lorry from behind.

The deceased has been identified as Kanishk Reddy, grandson of Teegala Krishna Reddy and son of former BRS corporator Teegala Sunaritha Reddy. He suffered severe injuries in the crash and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The collision took place on a busy stretch of the ORR, and initial reports suggest that the crash occurred at high speed. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

This accident follows a series of fatal incidents in Hyderabad. On January 31, 2025, Dr. Jaswanth, a house surgeon at Kamineni Hospital, died in a crash near Khanapur, while his colleague Dr. Bhumika, who was in the car with him, later died from her injuries. The doctors were returning from a function when their car lost control.

In another fatal crash on September 30, 2024, Dr. Nilay Reddy, a 29-year-old specialist at LV Prasad Eye Hospital, died after his car collided with a road divider on the ORR near Himayath Sagar. Investigations revealed he was driving at a high speed.

Additionally, on September 21, 2024, a 32-year-old woman, Raga Jyothi, was killed when a lorry struck her as she tried to cross the road in Medchal. Just days earlier, on September 18, 2024, Neeta, a woman from Nacharam, was also killed after being run over by a lorry while riding her scooter.
