Software Engineer Dies After Ganesh Utsav

Manikonda: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a young software engineer, Shyam Prasad, has tragically died of a heart attack after his participation in Ganesh Utsav celebrations on the night of September 15, 2024 at Alkapuri Township Colony in Manikonda, Ranga Reddy District.

According to the reports, Shyam Prasad, known for his vibrant spirit and enthusiasm, participated in the laddu auction organised by the Alkapuri Township Ganesh Utsav Committee. Shyam Prasad, actively involved in the festivities, enthusiastically danced and sang during the auction, which saw the laddu being auctioned for up to Rs 15 lakh.

Witnesses described how Shyam Prasad performed energetic dance steps, including “teen maar” moves, in celebration.

After the event, Shyam Prasad returned home but collapsed shortly after arriving. Despite efforts to revive him, he was confirmed dead at the scene. Preliminary reports suggest that he suffered a heart attack, although a medical examination will confirm the exact cause.

The sudden death of Shyam Prasad has brought profound sadness to his family and the local community. The residents of Alkapuri Township Colony and attendees of the Ganesh Utsav are mourning the loss of a cherished member whose lively presence had contributed to the festive atmosphere.

Student ends life over parental dispute

In a separate incident, a student, identified as Ashok, tragically ended his life on Monday morning due to a dispute with his father. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of the Suraram police station in the Qutbullapur constituency.

Ashok had gone for a late-night immersion with friends and returned home in the early hours of the morning. Upon his return, his father questioned him about his absence without informing them. The ensuing argument reportedly upset Ashok, who subsequently went to his room and took his own life.
