Leaders seek safety measures after Secunderabad’s Tania Soni death in Delhi Coaching institute flooding

Hyderabad: Telangana bureaucrats and politicians react to the death of Secunderabad girl, Tania Soni and demand for the implementation of strict safety protocols at the coaching institutes on Sunday through their social media handles. Tania Soni is one of the three civil service aspirants, who breathed their last in an unfortunate incident of flooding at a private IAS coaching institute, Rau’s IAS circle in New Delhi.
Reacting to the incident, Union Minister for Coals and Mines, Kishan Reddy posted, “Saddened by the tragic demise of Ms. Tania Soni, a resident of Secunderabad who lost her life in the flooding at an IAS coaching center in Rajender Nagar, New Delhi. Personally, I spoke to her father, Shri Vijay Kumar, and expressed my deepest condolences. My office in Delhi is in contact with the police and other officials to ensure all necessary formalities are completed swiftly. In this time of immense sorrow, I extend my support and prayers to her family. Om Shanti”

Meanwhile, Telangana Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president, K Taraka Rama Rao asks for the Chief Ministers office to take preventive measures in Hyderabad. “Shocked and anguished to learn about the tragic death of three Civil Services aspirants who were trapped in a basement flooding in Delhi. One of the victims, Tania Soni, is from Telangana. My deepest condolences to the families of the bereaved. I would like to alert the @TelanganaCMO who is also the Municipal Minister to take all preventive measures in Hyderabad & all other major towns.”

Further asking coaching institutes to comply with protocols, Telangana cadre IAS officer, Smitha Sabharwal said, “Every year lakhs of trusting parents send their kids to Coaching centres/competitive exam factories, to far-off metro cities.. paying through their noses. These kids brave the odds and slog on despite the uncertainty. The death of 3 IAS aspirants, in the #DelhiCoachingCenterAccident is truly shocking. Their precious lives are lost due to negligence. Appeal to all Coaching institutes to comply with reqd infra & safety protocols. Sincere request to municipal authorities to conduct thorough checks.
