Siddipet transgender body denies link to Chintal incident
SIDDIPET: The Siddipet Transgenders Association has denied allegations that transgender persons from the district were involved in spreading false information or collecting money in Hyderabad’s Chintal.
Association president Sunitha and Ankita said some people were spreading false information about the transgender community and that the allegations were untrue.
Association denies involvement in Chintal money collection
The two said Siddipet transgender persons had no connection with the incident in Chintal, Hyderabad, where money was allegedly collected.
They said members of the community lived with dignity in Siddipet and depended on begging for their livelihood.
The association representatives also said they did not demand money at weddings or other auspicious functions. They said they accepted only the amounts people willingly offered.
