What we know about the fatal Shamshabad Outer Ring Road crash
SHAMSHABAD: A man was killed and a woman sustained serious injuries after a car rammed into a lorry near Outer Ring Road Exit 15 at Pedda Golkonda, close to Shamshabad, in the early hours of Monday.
According to preliminary information, the car was travelling from Tukkuguda towards Shamshabad when it crashed into a lorry moving ahead on the Outer Ring Road. The impact left the front portion of the car extensively damaged.
Woman critical; child and driver injured
The male occupant died at the scene, while a woman travelling in the car suffered serious injuries. A young boy and the driver also sustained injuries in the accident.
Following an alert, 108 emergency ambulance personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is yet to be officially disclosed.
Police reached the accident site, cleared the damaged vehicles to restore traffic movement and launched an inquiry into the circumstances leading to the collision. The identity of the deceased and the injured was yet to be officially confirmed at the time of filing this report.
