Shamshabad: The Telangana Excise Police conducted two raids on unauthorised events in the Chevella area under the Shamshabad Excise Police Station limits on October 7, 2024, seizing non-duty paid liquor in both events.
In the first event, a party was held at the Rainbow Retreat Farmhouse in Moinabad Venkatapuram, where approximately 80 attendees had paid Rs. 4,999 each to participate.
The event was conducted without the necessary permissions from excise officials. During the raid, police seized 10.9 liters of liquor, 1.5 liters of another type of liquor, and 53 bottles from Pondicherry. Shamshabad Excise Superintendent Krishnapriya confirmed that a case has been registered against the resort.
In a separate incident, excise officials seized 22 liters of non-duty paid liquor at the Avinya Convention Hall, also located in the Moinabad Venkatapuram area.
Acting on a tip-off about the consumption of liquor from other states, the excise police conducted thorough searches and uncovered a variety of liquor bottles. Superintendent Krishnapriya stated that cases have been registered against the organisers of this event, as well as several other individuals involved.
