Passengers Express Frustration Over Flight Delay At Hyderabad Airport

HYDERABAD: Chaos erupted at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad late Friday night after a Vietnam Airlines flight was grounded due to a technical issue, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.

The VN-984 Airbus, scheduled to depart from Shamshabad to Vietnam at 11 pm on Friday, was halted following a reported technical snag. Airline officials suspended the service and could not confirm when the aircraft would take off.

Around 200 passengers were left waiting inside the airport through the night. As hours passed without any updates, passengers staged a protest demanding clarity from the airline staff.

Travellers alleged that Vietnam Airlines staff responded carelessly and failed to provide satisfactory answers. “We have been waiting since last night, and no one is telling us when the flight will depart,” said one passenger.

By Saturday morning, the situation remained tense, with many passengers expressing anger over what they called “negligence” by airline officials.
