Immigration officials detect forged travel documents

Hyderabad : Twenty women passengers were detained by immigration officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, after they were allegedly found carrying forged visas while attempting to board an Oman Air flight to Muscat.
During routine immigration clearance, officials examined the passengers’ travel documents and detected that the visas were forged. The women were immediately taken into custody.
Airport police begin inquiry
Immigration officials later handed the 20 women over to the Airport Outpost Police for further inquiry.
Police are questioning the passengers to establish how they obtained the forged visas and whether any travel agents or a larger visa fraud network were involved. Further investigation is underway.
