HYDERABAD: A series of recent fire incidents across Telangana has raised concern among residents.
Driver charred inside parked car on ORR
A driver died after a car caught fire on the Outer Ring Road within Shamirpet police station limits on Wednesday. Police said the man had parked the vehicle on the roadside, switched on the air-conditioner and fallen asleep when the fire began.
The car was headed from Shamirpet towards Keesara at the time of the incident. Locals noticed the blaze and alerted the police.
Traffic disrupted; police collect forensic clues
Traffic slowed down on the ORR as the burning car blocked the carriageway. Police moved the vehicle aside and called the clues team to examine the site.
Shamirpet police registered a case and opened an inquiry.
