Shadnagar worker dies after air pipe prank

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old worker died after a co-worker inserted an air pipe into his rectum as a prank at an industrial unit in Ranga Reddy district.

Friend inserts air pipe, victim suffers internal injury

The incident occurred on Sunday evening at Vijaya Neha Industry in Elikatta on the outskirts of Shadnagar police station limits. Pawan and his friend Sai, both from Uttar Pradesh, were working in the packing section.

While Pawan was at work, Sai placed an air pipe into his rectum for a few seconds from behind. The compressed air entered Pawan’s body, leaving him critically ill.

Incident occurs at Ranga Reddy industrial unit

Pawan was shifted to a hospital immediately. He died while undergoing treatment on Tuesday.

Inspector Seetharam said a case has been registered based on a complaint filed by Pawan’s brother Aman. Police are investigating the incident.
