Secunderabad: Army vehicle kills student near Tirumalagiri school

SECUNDERABAD: A school student was killed after an Army vehicle hit a two-wheeler near the Army Public School in Tirumalagiri on Wednesday, police said.
Student killed while heading to school
The accident occurred within the limits of Tirumalagiri police station when the student was travelling to school on a two-wheeler. The Army vehicle allegedly rammed into the two-wheeler, throwing the student onto the road.
The student died on the spot due to the impact.
Mother suffers serious injuries
The boy’s mother, who was riding the two-wheeler with him, sustained serious injuries in the accident. She was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Police begin inquiry
Police rushed to the spot soon after receiving information and cleared traffic. An inquiry has been taken up to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident, officials said.
