Dussehra rush? South Central Railway launches special trains & Navratri Thali!

Hyderabad: In anticipation of the increased passenger demand during the festival season, including the celebrations of Saddula Bathukamma and Dussehra, South Central Railway has introduced special train services. These services will operate between Kakinada Town and Secunderabad, as well as Bidar and Nagpur. The details of the special trains are as follows:

Special Train Schedule:

1. Train No. 07071: Kakinada Town to Secunderabad
Departure: 21:00
Arrival (next day): 08:30
Dates: October 08, 10, 12, 2024

2. Train No. 07072: Secunderabad to Kakinada Town
Departure: 18:15
Arrival (next day): 07:30
Dates: October 09, 11, 2024

3. Train No. 07023: Bidar to Nagpur
Departure: 18:45
Arrival (next day): 12:00
Date: October 11, 2024

4. Train No. 07024: Nagpur to Bidar
Departure: 20:10
Arrival (next day): 11:00
Date: October 13, 2024

Kakinada Town – Secunderabad Specials (5 services):

These trains will make stops at the following stations in both directions, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Akividu, Kaikaluru, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Miryalaguda, and Nalgonda. Each train comprises AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper, and General Second class coaches.

Bidar – Nagpur Specials (2 services):

These trains will halt at Zahirabad, Marpalli, Vikarabad, Lingampalli, Secunderabad, Kazipet, Peddapalli, Ramagundam, Mancheriyal, Bellampalli, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Balharshah, and Chandrapur in both directions. The train composition includes Sleeper and General Second class coaches.

Navratri Special Thali for Passengers

In conjunction with the festive season, Indian Railways has launched the Navratri Vrat Special Thali at over 150 railway stations. This initiative aims to provide comfort and convenience for passengers travelling during Navratri. Passengers can order this special thali online via the mobile app or the website.

During Navratri, many travellers face challenges regarding food options. To address this, Indian Railways has made the Navratri Special Thali available at numerous stations, including Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Amravati, Tirupati, Mumbai Central, Delhi Junction, Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna Junction, Ludhiana, Durg, Chennai Central, Jalandhar City, Udaipur City, Bengaluru Cantt, New Delhi, Thane, Pune, and Mangalore Central Station, among others.

Special attention has been given to ensure the quality and nutrition of the food prepared for the Vrat Thali, honouring the essence of Navratri. Passengers can easily book their thali by entering their PNR number on the IRCTC app or by visiting the IRCTC e-catering website.
