South Central Railway records highest-ever revenue of ₹21,211 Crore in FY26

HYDERABAD: South Central Railway (SCR) has recorded its highest-ever gross originating revenue of ₹21,211.92 crore during the financial year 2025–26, registering a 3.12 per cent increase over the previous year.

The zone sustained its growth for the fourth consecutive year, supported by improved performance in both freight and passenger segments.

Freight earnings stood at ₹13,835.27 crore, with total loading reaching 147.87 million tonnes. Passenger revenue also touched a record ₹6,235.37 crore, marking a 9.11 per cent rise compared to the previous financial year.

SCR reported additional earnings of ₹515.18 crore from other coaching services. Revenue from sundry streams, including parking and catering, amounted to ₹626.10 crore, reflecting notable growth.

General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava attributed the achievement to coordinated efforts across departments. “The performance reflects teamwork and a continued focus on efficiency and customer service,” he said.
