Satya Nadella Earns ₹850 Crore In Fy2025

HYDERABAD: Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella, who hails from Hyderabad, received a record ₹850 crore remuneration for the financial year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025), according to the company’s filings.

His annual pay rose 22% from ₹700 crore in FY2024, reflecting Microsoft’s robust performance and leadership in artificial intelligence (AI).

Microsoft posts double-digit growth

In FY2025, Microsoft’s revenue grew 15% to about ₹23.4 lakh crore, while net profit rose 16% to around ₹8.5 lakh crore. The company’s share price gained 23% during the year, and its market capitalisation crossed ₹2,50,00,000 crore (US$3 trillion) — making it the world’s second company, after Apple, to reach that milestone.

95% of Nadella’s pay is performance-linked

As per the company’s disclosure, over 95% of Nadella’s total compensation — nearly ₹740 crore — came from performance-based stock awards linked to business targets achieved during the year.
His base salary was ₹21 crore, with a cash bonus of ₹84 crore and other benefits worth ₹1.7 crore.

A decade of growth under Nadella

Nadella took charge as Microsoft CEO in 2014. Over the past decade, both the company’s performance and his remuneration have grown sharply.
His annual pay rose from ₹150 crore in 2015 to ₹450 crore in 2022, and now stands close to ₹850 crore in FY2025.
