Sangareddy youth fields lover for sarpanch, marries her

SANGAREDDY: A youth who hoped to contest for the sarpanch post in Tallapalli village decided to stay in the electoral race in an unexpected way after the seat was reserved for a Scheduled Caste woman.
Chandrasekhar Goud had planned to contest the upcoming panchayat polls. When Tallapalli was reserved for an SC woman, he asked his partner Srija, who belongs to an SC community, to file her nomination.

Meanwhile, Srija’s parents lodged a complaint at the Sangareddy Rural police station, stating that their daughter had gone missing.
Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar visited the police station and extended support to Chandrasekhar and Srija.
With Srija entering the contest, polling in Tallapalli which was earlier expected to elect its sarpanch unanimously has now become inevitable.
