Sanathnagar ESI Hospital accident kills three workers

HYDERABAD: Three workers died in an accident at the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Hospital in Sanathnagar on Monday. The incident occurred during renovation work when the centring supporting a slab reportedly collapsed.
Five workers sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment. The mishap took place in the emergency ward area where renovation was under way.
Local residents said pieces of the concrete slab came loose and fell on the workers. Officials reached the site soon after the incident and initiated rescue operations.
Authorities have ordered an inquiry into the collapse of the centring structure.
