Salman Khan Ventures proposes ₹10,000 crore film city project in Telangana

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Monday signed an MoU with Reliance Group’s Vantara to provide technical and scientific support for a new zoo within the proposed Future City, even as Salman Khan Ventures announced plans for a ₹10,000-crore integrated township and film studio in the state.

MoU with Vantara to guide new zoo, night safari design

The forest department said the collaboration will cover conservation practices, rehabilitation protocols, design of a state-of-the-art night safari and technical guidance for a forest-based eco-theme park.
The MoU also includes assistance in framing guidelines for setting up the zoo under the Public-Private Partnership model.

Officials said Vantara presented its masterplan and sustainability framework, while the state stressed that the upcoming conservatory would focus on ethical wildlife care, research-driven habitat design and public education.
The proposed facility is expected to raise biodiversity awareness and strengthen Telangana’s position in responsible conservation tourism.

₹10,000-crore integrated township, studio announced

A major investment proposal came from Salman Khan Ventures, which unveiled plans to develop an integrated township and film production ecosystem costing ₹10,000 crore.
The project will include a championship-level golf course, nature trails, luxury hospitality infrastructure, a racecourse and premium residential clusters.

At its core will be a world-class film production environment designed for large-format cinema, OTT content, post-production services and talent development programmes.
The government welcomed the proposal, calling it a catalyst for the state’s creative and tourism sectors.
