Saidabad police arrest auto driver in homicide case, recover key evidence
HYDERABAD: Saidabad police arrested a 21-year-old auto-rickshaw driver for the murder of Md Fasi Ahmed Ameer in Singareni Colony. During the investigation, police recovered the alleged murder weapon from Saroor Nagar Lake with the help of the Disaster Response Force (HYDRA).
Personal dispute led to fatal attack, say police
Police said the murder took place on August 4, 2026. The accused, Endravath Suman, also known as Enjravath Suman, allegedly had a long-running personal dispute with the victim.
According to investigators, the two got into a physical fight on the morning of the incident. During the altercation, Suman allegedly attacked Md Fasi Ahmed Ameer with a knife. He reportedly inflicted multiple injuries to the victim’s neck and head.
Police recover knife from Saroor Nagar Lake
After the attack, the accused allegedly fled in an auto-rickshaw. Police said he threw the knife into Saroor Nagar Lake to destroy evidence.
Police arrested Suman on August 6, 2026. They seized his clothes, the auto-rickshaw allegedly used after the crime, and a mobile phone. Based on his confession, the Disaster Response Force (HYDRA) assisted police in recovering the knife from the lake.
Police registered the case as Crime No. 258/2026 under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Saidabad Police Station.
Accused sent to judicial remand
Police produced Endravath Suman, 21, an auto-rickshaw driver from Block No. 45, Singareni Colony, Saidabad, before the court. The court remanded him to judicial custody.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Khare Kiran Prabhakar supervised the investigation. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Md Majeed, Assistant Commissioner of Police Soma Venkat Reddy, Saidabad Station House Officer B. Chandra Mohan, and other Saidabad police personnel also took part in the investigation and arrest.
