Former minister Sabitha: Raid on Janwada farmhouse ‘conspiracy’ and ‘diversion politics’

Listen to Story

Hyderabad: Former Education Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Sabitha Indra Reddy alleges a ‘big conspiracy’ behind the Janwada farmhouse raid. This incident is a classic example of ‘diversion politics’. She further alleged that police seek to search homes without warrants, targeting BRS leaders’ families.

Taking a dig at BJP leaders who are in the central cabinet, Reddy said, “For five days recently Telangana State Special Police (TGSP) personnel took to the streets and protested for their rights. Why haven’t they enquired or verified with them?”

Rather than addressing their issues, they’re concentrating on KTR and making baseless allegations by releasing videos. “There’s a big conspiracy against the BRS leaders and particularly KTR. It is clear from the video released by BJP leaders. It can be seen in the video, it’s a home for women and children. It’s a family party,” reiterated Reddy.

For three months, the BRS working president and its leaders questioned the Congress party and their guarantees promised during the election time. As Congress leaders had no answers to the questions posed by BRS leaders, they are portraying a family party as a liquor party as a part of diversion politics.

Sabitha questions police actions, demands transparency

The party demands police follow procedures for any searches. “Can the police search a house without any warrant? The incident happened somewhere, and police want to search KTR’s house,” added Reddy. She further dared them to record the search proceeding on camera with party advocates present.

It is clear for the people of the state and BRS leaders that it is a big conspiracy against KTR. This incident is a classic example of ‘diversion politics’. Our kin is scared to invite us for the party. If there are any issues, Congress should fight with the BRS rather than going against the BRS leaders’ family.
