RTC bus escapes major accident near Wyra
Telangana : Front axle snaps, tyre comes off bus
A Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus belonging to the Bhadrachalam depot narrowly escaped a major accident after its front axle snapped and a wheel came off while it was travelling towards Khammam.
The incident occurred on the Pinapaka bridge in Wyra mandal. Around 30 passengers were on board when the axle failed.
Driver’s alertness averts mishap
The driver acted promptly and brought the bus to a halt, preventing what could have been a serious accident. No injuries were reported.
The incident led to heavy traffic congestion on the route connecting Sathupalli, Bhadrachalam and Khammam. Police reached the spot and restored traffic after clearing the obstruction.
