Rowdy sheeter deposits ₹1 lakh after forfeiture of bond in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A rowdy sheeter from Chaderghat police station limits deposited ₹1 lakh towards the forfeiture of a bound-over bond after authorities found that he had violated the conditions imposed on him.

According to Chaderghat police, Salman Ali Baig had earlier been bound over under relevant legal provisions for good behaviour and maintenance of public peace as part of preventive policing measures undertaken by the police station.

Police said proceedings were initiated before the competent authority after Baig allegedly violated the conditions of the bond. Following the prescribed legal process and hearing, the authority ordered forfeiture of the bond amount.

Accordingly, on June 9, 2026, Baig deposited ₹1,00,000 as the forfeited bond amount through a challan, police said.

Preventive measures to maintain public order

The action was taken under the guidance of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar and Charminar Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Kiran Khare, and under the supervision of Malakpet Division Assistant Commissioner of Police Raja Venkat Reddy.

Police said such measures are intended to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful atmosphere for the public.

Police warn habitual offenders

Chaderghat police reiterated that strict action would be taken against habitual offenders and rowdy sheeters who violate conditions imposed on them.
