RMP doctor crushed to death in freak lift mishap in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: In a freak mishap, a 39-year-old RMP (Registered Medical Practitioner) doctor died after a lift in a residential apartment crashed down on him on Sunday.
The tragic incident occurred in Srikrishna Nagar, under the Suraram Police Station limits. According to reports, the deceased doctor, identified as Akbar Patil, went to retrieve a ball that had accidentally fallen into the lift shaft. Unfortunately, the lift was switched on at the same time, causing it to lower down and crush him. The victim sustained severe injuries to his head and died on the spot.

In recent months, this is the third incident in which a life was lost in a lift accident. On March 10, Commandant Gangaram (55), in charge of Telangana Special Police 17th Battalion died after he accidentally fell into an elevator shaft in Sircilla town.
Three days later, a four-year-old boy named Surender died in a lift accident at Mujtaba Apartments in Hyderabad’s Mehdipatnam area. The boy was the son of Sham Bahadur who worked as a security guard at the apartment.
In February, a six-year-old boy named Arnav died in similar circumstances. The young boy died after he was caught between the lift and the support wall in a residential apartment in Masab Tank.
