RGIA Outpost Police at Hyderabad airport after in-flight misconduct complaint

HYDERABAD: The RGIA Outpost Police have arrested a 58 year old passenger for allegedly misbehaving with an air hostess aboard a Dubai–Hyderabad flight, police said.

The incident occurred on Sunday but was reported after the aircraft landed at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, following a complaint lodged by the airline authorities.

Accused allegedly intoxicated
Police identified the accused as Balakrishnan Ramesh. According to investigators, he was under the influence of alcohol and intentionally touched the air hostess in an inappropriate manner during the flight.

After being alerted by the airline crew, airport police took the accused into custody and initiated legal action.

Remanded to judicial custody
Based on the complaint, police registered a case and produced the accused before a court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

Police said statements from the airline staff have been recorded and further investigation is under way.
