Revanth Reddy reviews Kokapet land issue at Telangana Secretariat

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to continue the land allotted to Sharada Peetham at Kokapet with the Peetham.

The direction came after representatives of the Peetham informed the Chief Minister that the land had been allocated to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

Reddy held a review meeting with senior officials at the State Secretariat on Saturday evening and sought details on the status of various constructions being undertaken by the Peetham on the Kokapet land.

He expressed displeasure that officials did not inform him about the status of the constructions while allocating the land to the Water Board.

The Chief Minister ordered cancellation of the allocation to the Water Board and restoration of the land to the Peetham.

He also advised the Peetham representatives to meet Minister Sridhar Babu and explain the construction works and other related issues.
