HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will appear before the special court for public representatives at Nampally in Hyderabad at 2.20 pm on Saturday in connection with two pending cases.

The first case relates to the 2019 Huzurnagar Assembly by-election. Revanth Reddy and Uttam Kumar Reddy, who was then a Member of Parliament, allegedly took out a rally with 40 cars and DJ sound systems on behalf of a candidate during the campaign.

In another case registered in 2021, Revanth Reddy allegedly participated in a public meeting without adhering to Covid-19 guidelines.

Police booked him based on complaints filed by Election Commission officials. The Chief Minister is scheduled to appear before the judge as part of the hearing in these cases.
