Revanth dares BJP to allow KTR’s arrest, CBI probe into Kaleshwaram

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi were protecting each other through a “dark deal” to avoid action in corruption cases involving Kaleshwaram and the Formula-E race.
Addressing corner meetings during a roadshow in Jubilee Hills in support of Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, Revanth said, “If there is no secret understanding between the BJP and BRS, the Centre must ensure that the CBI registers an FIR in the Kaleshwaram project scam by November 11 and that the Governor grants sanction for K T Rama Rao’s arrest in the Formula-E race case.”
He accused the BJP of shielding K Chandrashekar Rao, K T Rama Rao and T Harish Rao from investigation, despite the state handing over the Kaleshwaram case to the CBI months ago. “Even after two months, the Governor has not responded to our request for sanction to arrest K T Rama Rao,” he said.
Revanth further claimed that the BRS would merge with the BJP after the Jubilee Hills bypoll. “This is not my statement , it was said by their own family member,” he remarked, referring to BRS leader K Kavitha. “Whenever the Prime Minister or Home Minister visits Telangana, the Kaleshwaram scam turns into an ATM for the KCR family.”
He said that BJP and BRS leaders criticise each other during the day and meet secretly at night, adding that such collusion had stalled justice in major corruption cases.
Revanth was accompanied by Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Mirza Rahmat Baig, Azharuddin, Mahesh Kumar Goud and Naveen Yadav during the campaign.
