CM Revanth Reddy condemns attack on Allu Arjun’s residence

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy condemned the attack on the residence of film celebrity. While the Chief Minister did not name actor Allu Arjun in his social media post, on Sunday, Pushpa actor Allu Arjun’s house in Jubilee Hills was attacked by some protestors.
In the post, Revanth Reddy said, “I condemn the attack on the film celebrities’ homes. I am directing the State DGP and City Police Commissioner to take strict action and implement law and order. No laxity will be tolerated in this regard.”
Further, Revanth Reddy also warned the police officials to prevent commenting on the Sandhya Theatre incident, if they are not involved in the case. Earlier, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sabbathi Vishnumurthy spoke about Allu Arjun’s case and criticised Allu Arjun for stating that Sandhya Theatre incident as an accident.
What happened at Allu Arjun’s residence?
It is to be noted that earlier in the day on December 22, 2024, a group of protesters barged into Allu Arjun’s residence sloganeering ‘Justice to Revathi’s family’, ‘Khabardar Allu Arjun’, ‘demanding life sentence to Allu Arjun, they broke the flower pots inside the residence.
“They all claim to be part of OU-JAC and on inquiry, they have claimed that they were trying to protest against the actor seeking help for the victim’s family,” said a statement released by DCP.
A case has been registered against the 6 persons and others who were involved in the said offences and stringent action as per law is being initiated against them all.
On December 4, on the day of Pushpa’s premier show, a stampede took place at the Sandhya Theatre near RTC X Roads, which resulted in the death of a woman, Revathi and her son are hospitalized following critical injuries. Actor Allu Arjun was arrested and later on released on interim bail.
