Harish Rao slams Revanth Reddy over ₹1,070 crore Siddipet works

HYDERABAD: Siddipet MLA and former minister T Harish Rao alleged that the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy cancelled development works worth ₹1,070 crore sanctioned for the constituency during the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) regime.
Veterinary college shift and stalled works trigger political row
Harish Rao said several infrastructure and public utility projects approved earlier were stopped after the change in government. He questioned whether the Chief Minister’s proposed visit to Siddipet was meant to justify the cancellation of these works.
He also referred to the relocation of the Siddipet Veterinary College to Kodangal, terming it a setback for the constituency’s educational growth and regional balance.
The BRS leader demanded that the state government immediately restart the cancelled projects, stating that the works were aimed at strengthening civic infrastructure and improving basic services in the area.
Political observers view the issue as part of the continuing contest between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS over development priorities and regional representation in Telangana.
