Contaminated Tap Water in Falaknuma: Residents Seek Urgent Solution
FALAKNUMA: Residents of the Jahanuma area in Falaknuma are deeply frustrated by the ongoing issue of contaminated water flowing into their homes. Their concern is heightened as they’ve noticed their children falling ill after consuming the tainted tap water.
This problem has persisted for a week now, affecting not only the Jahanuma area but also neighboring residents in Rein Bazar.
The residents have urgently appealed to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) to address the situation and rectify the issue promptly.
Expressing his distress, Naseer Hussain, a resident of Jahanuma, said, “The situation in our area is dire, as evidenced by my daughter’s recent illness and subsequent vomiting episodes. Her school even sent her back home due to her condition. Numerous other nearby residents have shared similar complaints regarding the quality of tap water. It’s my sincere hope that HMWSSB takes swift action to ensure our community is spared from consuming this hazardous contaminated tap water in Falaknuma.”
