Begumpet: Residents of Begumpet have raised concerns over the incomplete patchwork after repair works were conducted at Viqar Nagar, near the BRS party office.

Speaking with Hyderabad Mail, a local resident who wished to remain anonymous expressed frustration, stating, “HMWSSB recently dug a pit to inspect and detect issues in the water supply. After two weeks, the problem was identified and solved, but the hole was left unpatched, causing inconvenience to residents.”

He also further said, “The caution board, which was kept on site to educate people, was also left at the site. Moreover, if you look closely at the image, you can see that the pipeline laid two years ago still has unaddressed patches. There’s no accountability, just continuous negligence.”

The concerned resident also highlighted the issue on social media, tagging the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) in a post, urging them to complete the repairs long back. The post read: “@HMWSSBOnline are requested to complete this repair work ASAP at Viqar Nagar area near the BRS party office. The incomplete patchwork is causing inconvenience to residents. Please ensure proper patchwork after completion.”

For the past few months, the resident, identified as Rusty, has been actively following up on the issue, questioning when the pipeline digging would finally be filled in the Viqar Nagar area, near the BRS office and Akbar firewood shop.
